We know a historic church can feel formal from the outside. Here is what a Lord's Day looks like, so you can walk in at ease.

Good to know
Arriving
Park on the lot behind the church or on Peeples Street. Ushers at the Abernathy doors will greet you and seat you.
Dress
Many of our members dress for church. You are welcome in whatever you have. No one will look twice.
The service
About ninety minutes. Hymns, scripture, the choir, prayer, the sermon, and an invitation. Follow along in the bulletin; the ushers have extras.
Children
Children are welcome in worship. Nursery care is available for ages 0 to 3 at both services.
Questions people ask
How long is a gathering?
About ninety minutes. We sing, we pray, we open the Bible, and we do not rush any of it.
What do people wear?
Whatever they had on. Jeans are normal. Suits are fine. Nobody is checking.
Will anyone put me on the spot?
No. We will not ask you to stand, raise a hand, or give. If you tell us you are coming, a pastor will find you afterward and say hello.
What is a table?
A house group that meets midweek around a meal. We read a chapter and pray for each other. Most people say it is where they actually found the church.
Is there anything midweek?
Wednesday prayer at 6:30 PM. No music, no program. We pray until we are done.
Can I bring my kids to the main room?
Yes. Kids are welcome in the gathering. Threshold Kids is there if they would rather be with other kids.
Coming this week?
Tell us and we will be ready
Someone at the door, a seat saved, and a hello from a pastor afterward. That is all this form does.
